Our Story
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The statistics show that you or someone you know either has been or will be impacted by this disease. Two of the people closest to me were diagnosed with Breast Cancer. While my business partner of over 30 years beat this disease, my best friend recently lost her battle. I found myself drawn to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to provide lifesaving diagnostic tests such as mammograms and sonograms, to the uninsured and underserved.
After being touched by breast cancer one too many times, I could not stop thinking about what more could be done to prevent it. I thought to myself, what if there was a way to remind women and girls to perform self breast checks on a regular basis? What if there was a symbol or identifier incorporated in our everyday routine that would encourage breast health? It could be something as simple and habitual as brushing our teeth and washing our hands.
That’s when the Stay in Touch Bra® was born.
You might be thinking, what does this life-saving new habit look like? The answer is simple. The Stay in Touch Bra® design can be found inside both cups of a bra. It serves an educational daily reminder to women and girls to perform their very own self breast checks on a regular basis.
When it comes to saving lives, awareness is critical. Establishing a regular self breast check habit is a simple practice that can lead to early detection. The Stay in Touch Bra® design will help women create this new behavior. Since mammograms are not generally covered by insurance until age 40, the Stay in Touch Bra® is on a mission to empower and equip women of all ages to take charge of their breast health and literally take matters into their own hands. Because the reality is that early detection saves lives, and when caught early, the breast cancer survival rate is 99%. Ladies, let’s take care of our bodies by making self breast checks a priority and a regular part of our everyday routines.

If more women were empowered to frequently self-check their breasts for abnormalities, more lives could be saved as a result from early detection. So why don’t more women perform self-checks? How Does it Work?
The Stay In Touch Bra® diagram can be incorporated into any existing bra design.
INSTRUCT
Instructions for a self-breast check are located on the interior cups of the bra.
INSTILL
The design becomes a visual reminder to prompt a breast
self-check.
INFORM
The design will inform and empower women with education to take action.
INSPIRE
The patterns will inspire women to shift their focus toward early detection.
The design is located inside both of the bra's interior cups and illustrates
how to perform a self breast check.
The Stay In Touch Bra® diagram will serve as a symbol to increase awareness, educate, and remind women about the importance of regular self-checking. This is about more than just a stylish, comfortable, supportive undergarment. We want to change the course of this disease, decrease the number of deaths, and most importantly empower women and girls to take charge of their breast health early and often.

As a life-long advocate for health and disease prevention, Brenda is the CEO and Chief Innovation Officer for Stay in Touch Bra®. Brenda is an award-winning entrepreneur, an innovator, and an accomplished author. For the past 18 years, she has been a board member of the American Breast Cancer Foundation and has been an active member of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.
With over forty-eight years of experience in promoting healthy lifestyle and disease prevention habits, Brenda has the knowledge, drive, and acumen to be the change agent in revolutionizing breast health and thereby, preventing the devastating effects from breast cancer. Statistics reveal that early detection does save lives.

For thirty years, Brenda was the co-founder, owner, and President of a wellness and fitness management business that served Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and retirement communities. She credits their success to the collaborative approach used in creating a team culture.
Brenda launched her new business to fulfill a life-long dream: to create a simple, universal reminder for women to perform self breast checks. To take it a step further, it is Brenda's personal mission to raise awareness, increase education, and implement self breast checks a part of our regular routines.
